Our Story

Born in the misty mountains of Sri Lanka (Formerly Ceylon), Sansa Organic Teas was founded by the son of a Ceylon tea veteran with a mission to converge Sri Lanka’s centuries-old tea-drinking culture with a modern twist in flavours, herbs and spices to produce a refreshing tea drinking experience.

We named our company Sansa (meaning ‘praise’ in Sanskrit) to pay homage to the resilient women at the heart of Sri Lanka's tea legacy - the tea pluckers.

From humble beginnings, Sansa is now one of the fastest-growing organic tea brands in Sri Lanka. We may be local in impact, but we are global in presence. We pride ourselves on 4 key values:
